About Us
We're Moving Full STEAM Ahead...
Philosophy
Our Center believes that each child is an individual and has a contribution to make to this society. We believe that all children should be loved and respected. We believe that children learn, develop, and grow at their own pace and each and every one of them can be successful.
Our STEAM based curriculum builds on every child's natural curiosity and desire to create, explore, and investigate the world of early Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM). We believe that "if you see it, you can be it." Research shows that students learn best when learning is active, when they are engaged in hands-on lessons and activities, and are involved in what they are learning. Therefore, we take pride in offering our students a high-quality, well-rounded program that promotes 21st century skills.
Our environment is designed to enhance creativity and provide choices. Children will gain a sense of positive self-image and independence as well as develop problem solving techniques and social skills. One of the most influential elements in a student's education is their teacher. The center's teachers directly engage and support students on their educational journey. They create a clean, safe, warm, and loving environment that is conducive to learning and meets the needs of our children individually and collectively.
As we journey into the future your presence, support, and investment in your child is critical. The Center believes that parents are the most important people in a child's life and are the primary providers. We look to you as partners as we help guide your child through his/her first journey in life, with a goal of bringing forth responsible, successful, and caring adults.
Health & Safety
The Center provides children with a clean and healthy environment. However we realize that children become ill from time to time. If this is your child's first group care experience, it is possible that they may experience more frequent illnesses at the beginning before their immune system becomes more active. We observe all children as they enter the program to quickly assess their general health. We ask that parents DO NOT bring sick children to the center out of respect for the staff and other children. If your child is determined to be sick, they will be sent home.
All staff members have received training in First Aid, Communicable Diseases, and CPR. In case of a minor accident/injury staff will administer basic first aid. If any injury is life threatening, the EMS will be contacted, parents will be notified, and a staff member will accompany the child to the nearest hospital.
The center has devised several procedures to follow in the event that an emergency would occur while a child is in the Center's care. Emergency Evacuation Plans are located in each classroom and to be executed by a staff member in the event of evacuation.
Please review our Parent Handbook for further information in regards to Emergency Evacuation Plans, Safety Drills and our Health and Safety procedures.
